Other MCP apps
Editors and agents that support remote MCP servers (Streamable HTTP) take a config like this:
{
"mcpServers": {
"basalfit": { "url": "https://basalfit.com/mcp" }
}
}Track from your assistant (optional)
To log what you eat by just telling your assistant ("I had 2 eggs and a cup of oats for breakfast"), add https://basalfit.com/mcp/me instead. The first time, it asks you to sign in with Google and allow basalfit to keep its files in your Drive. What you log goes to your own Google Drive, never stored by basalfit, and your devices show it at their next sync.
Tracking tools: log_food, log_recipe, log_water, log_weight, day_summary, log_product (by barcode) and add_product: share a photo of a package your assistant doesn't find, and it reads the barcode and Nutrition Facts for basalfit to check and a moderator to review. See how basalfit uses Google Drive.

Questions
- Do I need an account?
- No. Searching recipes and calculating nutrition are free and open, in your assistant and on basalfit.com. You'll need to sign in only for personal features like saving recipes or logging meals.
- Is it free?
- Yes, for personal use. Heavy or commercial use (apps, devices, high-volume agents) will get API keys and paid tiers.
- How accurate is the nutrition?
- Every number is calculated ingredient by ingredient and rounded the way FDA labels are. Values are estimates; when data for a nutrient is missing we say so instead of counting it as zero. Disclaimer and data sources: basalfit.com/legal.
- What do you do with what I ask?
- We record searches anonymously, without your IP address, account or device, to learn which recipes and ingredients people are missing. We never sell it or use it for ads.
